I got up early and headed to the Big Tree area, hoping to photograph some Whooping Cranes in flight. As I arrived, it was about an hour before sunrise, and you could see the stars, so I could tell it was going to be a clear morning.

After some cold and rainy weather, the sun finally came out today. The temperatures warmed up to the low seventies, which felt great. A group of campers took the opportunity to play some music outside of the clubhouse.
At approximately 58", the endangered Whooping Crane is the tallest North American bird. Along with the Sandhill Crane, at 48", it is one of only two crane species found in North America.
My wife Eileen retired at the close of 2020, and we're on our first adventure. After Christmas with our family, we loaded up our RV and headed Southwest to Rockport TX, for the winter.
As 2020 comes to a close, I like to look back at the pictures I took throughout the year. It was hard to narrow down to my top 12 as I kept over 500 sunset/sunrise pictures. These are my favorites. What is your favorite?

Keep looking up! I learn from the past, dream about the future, and look up. There's nothing like a beautiful sunset to end a healthy day.

As the fall colors are fading, the waterfowl migration is in full swing. I went out to a couple of my favorite spots this week.
As fall starts to fade, I thought I'd take the last trip with some color to the bird sanctuary and take just reflections.
I've wanted to visit the wetland area close to my house to try photographing some Sandhill Silhouettes—the weather forecasted a partly cloudy sunrise, perfect!
I've been having problems with my X-T3 camera and after sending it in for repairs twice I think they finally fixed the issue. I took a short trip to the Bird Sanctuary to test it out.
We decided to take a long weekend and booked a spot at Indigo Bluffs RV Park close to Empire, MI. The trip was also a test to see how our Labrador Retriever would do traveling.
On Saturday, Gilmore Museum had a Jeep and Trucks show. It was a beautiful morning, and although I own a Jeep, I couldn't resist riding my Harley to the show.
We took a ride to Cement City to the Artesian Wells Sports Bar for there Thursday bike night. It's a nice ride; it was sunny and a chilly, felt a little bit like fall.
I just purchased the Fuji X100V camera to complement my primary Fuji XT-3 camera. It's a smaller camera with a fixed 35mm F2 lens.
