Catch of the Day!
About 2 pm, I needed to get out, so I grabbed my camera gear drove to some of my favorite areas. Being cold, I didn't see a lot of activity; maybe the birds were more intelligent than me and were bed down somewhere warm?

While driving back to our RV, I decided to give the Marina a try. You never know what you might find. As I pulled in, I noticed a lot of bird activity at the fish cleaning station. I knew someone must be cleaning fish.

As I drove up and parked, I noticed the Catch of the Day sign and one fisherman in the station. I watched him clean fish and fought off the Pelicans and Gulls. He had a water hose, and when they came to close, he would spray them with water. It was comical as this happened many times before he finished. He finally saw me, shook his head, and laughed out loud.

The Pelicans would get some fish scraps and go after each other, trying to steel scraps. For a few seconds, it could get competitive and downright mean.

The Pelican on top came swooping in and grabbed the one with the scraps. The one in the back was determined to get his fair share and had the other one in a headlock! They wrestled for about five minutes, and I thought I was watching the WPF! (worldwide pelican federation)

While the other two were wrestling, this one was swallowing its catch. I'm not sure how this one got a piece by himself?

I watched them until the fisherman had finished cleaning his fish, packed up, and drove off. It didn't take long for the activity to subdue, and I was cold.

Photography should be fun! It's not about the phone or camera brand you're using. Remember, your best photographs result from one thing, making an effort to get out and shoot.
