Black Hills of South Dakota

We took our first long trip with our motorhome to the Black Hills of South Dakota. I've been there a few times for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. My wife had not been there, and we also took two of our grandsons, Gavin 12 and Landen 11.

I know what some of you might be thinking, two boys, ten days on the road, are you crazy? No, we're not, we just wanted to make some memories that hopefully will last a lifetime.

Oh, Grandpa and Grandma had that talk with the boys before we left. "You know we're going for ten days, and we expect you to listen, do as we tell you, and we don't want to ask you something five times." I think we all have heard that speech before, LOL.

Well, I can say they must have been listening, they didn't argue once; in fact, they were a joy to be with the whole trip. We had so much fun visiting all the attractions around the Black Hills.

We made a lot of memories, and the boys loved everything we did. They each had some spending money left on our last day and Grandma took them back to Keystone as they had to spend there last few dollars. If you could see all the stuff they bought, it would make you laugh.

Below are all of the attractions we visited during our stay in the Black Hills. I hope you can tell in the boy's expression that they are having fun!

We're blessed!

We had a great trip that I hope the boys will remember many years down the road. The only bad part of the journey was the hail storm that went through on Friday. It damaged the motorhome and the Jeep. It also broke the windshield of the motorhome.

Photography should be fun! It's not about the phone or camera brand you're using. Always remember, your best photographs are the result of one thing, making an effort to get out and shoot.

Comments always welcomed.
