Another great blues show at the Franke Center for the Arts in Marshall MI. Tinsley, a master guitar player and singer played two solid sets with a mix of old-time blues classics and material from his new album “Winning Hand”, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Blues Chart
Tinsley from Atlanta made his second appearance to the Franke Center. His guitar playing expertise, likened with greats as Clapton and Beck, played effortlessly.
Tinsley played 5 different guitars, which he refers to as guitar porn. He came out for an encore closing the show playing his Gibson Flying V.
The band was tight, the bass player and drummer were very entertaining. After the show we talked with the bass player and I think he was impressed with the support from the crowd.
The Franke Center is a hidden gem for listening to the blues. This small intimate venue with great sound has changed in just a few short years. It once struggled to fill the theater was celebrating its fifth straight sell-out.
It’s great to see the vision and hard work of the Franke Center become a reality.
