Laith Al Saadi, finalist on The Voice performed two shows at the Franke Center in Marshall Mi. on December 30th. My wife is a big fan (me to!) of Laith. I purchased the tickets for her as a birthday present. We attended the late show anticipating he might play a little longer, he didn’t disappoint.
Laith put on a great show! He played a mix of blues and rock and had the crowd dancing. He talked a little about his experience on The Voice. He was really proud to be able bring the blues to a national TV show.
Laith played homage to some of the musicians that have passed. He played Tom Petty, Albert King, and BB King. Laith also played some classic rock from Deep Purple to Led Zeppelin. The Franke Center was rocking!
Laith stepped back a few times and let the drummer and bass player showcase their talent. Both did not disappoint.
Laith followed up a strong set with a couple of his newer songs; one Gone Gone had everyone clapping along. He came back for one encore playing a Tom Petty classic. I’ve been to a lot of shows at the Franke Center and Laith put on a show second to none.
Thank you Franke Center for keeping the blues alive.
