I’ve been following the Harvest Moon. I really had not planned on writing a blog post; I recently did a post “Moon over Lake”. October 5th was the official day of the Harvest Moon, but as I awoke on October 4th the moon lit up the sky.
The Harvest Moon is the full Moon nearest the start of fall. I took all of these photographs from our deck overlooking the lake. I pulled up a chair and watched for over an hour.
As it got closer to sunrise the moon started to disappear on the horizon. The sky started to lighten and the colors started to change. I like this photograph the best.
There was also a reflection in the lake. It’s always a challenge photographing the moon, it’s so bright. Trying to expose the moon to show some detail and still seeing the sky. I promise, no more moon blog post (until the next beautiful one).
