The Ship has Sailed
The last week of our stay we did a lot of activities with our friends. I took this photo at our last party in the park hosted by Gerry and Mona. We had a great time, and Gerry (King of the Grill Shirt) grilled some vegan burgers.
Some of our friends had already left, but it seemed like every night for a week, we went out to dinner for the last time in Rockport. We all had our favorite places to eat, and I believe we visited each one.
Once a week (weather permitting), we took the ferry at Port A to the beach. This was our last trip to the beach. It was a beautiful day, and we had lunch, drank a few cold ones, and played a putting game on the beach.
As the afternoon rolled around, some of us took walks on the beach. It was windy, which is normal for the beach. We headed back to the ferry at about 3 pm. If you wait too late in the day, the traffic getting back across can be backed up for over an hour.
Yes, we played a lot of Pickleball. These were taken at the Rockport High School courts. On rainy days we played inside at the Portland Community Center. We made many friends from around the country, and I hope to play with some of them again.
Eileen played Texas Holdem twice a week. She loves playing and did well. I took this on the last Thursday Poker night of the winter. Normally they had two full tables to start the night. We played other card games, and they had a Eurche tournament every Saturday night.
Next winter, we are going on a new adventure to Arcadia, Florida. A few of our friends booked at the same resort, and another will be in our area. Until we meet again!
Photography should be fun! It's not about the phone or camera brand you're using. Remember, your best photographs result from one thing, making an effort to get out and shoot.
Comments are always welcomed.
