I've always enjoyed visiting the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary, especially in the fall. The forecast was cool and sunny so I had some breakfast and headed out to the sanctuary.
As some of you may know, after years of shooting Canon I've switched to Fuji. I was looking for a lighter mirrorless setup. It's been fun and challenging learning a new system.
As the sun started to come over the horizon the bird activity started to increase. There were large groups of swans flying into Wintergreen Lake.
With the fall colors starting to show around the lake it made for some nice colorful backgrounds and reflections.
I spent most of the morning watching and shooting the birds in the lake. It's a little early for the less common migrating ducks that normally fly into the lake.
I'm sure I'll be making more trips to the sanctuary before winter.
Photography should be fun! It's not about the phone or camera brand you're using. Always remember, your best photographs are the result of one thing, making an effort to get out and shoot.
Comments always welcomed.
