Fall at Wintergreen Lake
As I walked down the steps to Wintergreen Lake, I noticed the colors around the lake were at their peak. I was hoping to get some nice fall reflections as the colors filled the water.
I arrived late morning, so the bird activity was a little slow. I saw a couple of Buffleheads further out, but I was a little surprised that there were not many other migrating waterfowl. It might be a little early.
As I waited for some action, a pair of Trumpeter Swans came over the tree line and flew in front of me. You can hear them coming, honking, and as they get closer, the sounds of their wings flapping.
I had a single Swan fly overhead and was able to get a nice shot with some clouds and blue sky.
I always like to walk around the lake, and I took a few shots of the fall colors. It was not hard to find some beautiful colors.
As I came back to the observation area, I captured and pair of Mallards sunning themselves. The male had his eye on me!
Photography should be fun! It's not about the phone or camera brand you're using. Always remember, your best photographs are the result of one thing, making an effort to get out and shoot.
