I've been having problems with my X-T3 camera and after sending it in for repairs twice I think they finally fixed the issue. I took a short trip to the Bird Sanctuary to test it out. Nice fall colors, I got there a little late so the activity was slow.
The swans are always fun to photograph. They seem so majestic just floating around the lake.
Usually, I would have had the chance to photograph some in-flight. Being it was late morning, I didn't have any groups flying into the lake.
I'm glad the sun was out; as I got out of my Jeep and put on some warmer clothes, I noticed I was missing my warm coat.
I'm glad I had two shirts and a sweatshirt as it was a little chilly. I had my tripod with a gimbal head, but I needed to keep moving without my warmer coat so I left it in the Jeep and handheld all of these photographs.
As I was about to leave, I heard some commotion to my right, back at the small lagoon.
At first, I thought it was just the normal bird fighting that you see. As I looked closer, I noticed something in the tree, a red-tail hawk! I was excited as it's something you don't often see.
I slowly walked closer along the waterfowl identification building and got a few good photographs. I would have like to get closer but I knew it would spook the hawk to fly off.
Photography should be fun! It's not about the phone or camera brand you're using. Always remember, your best photographs are the result of one thing, making an effort to get out and shoot.
Comments always welcomed.
